Position Overview
Zoellner Media Group is looking for a dynamic and creative Morning Show Co-Host to join our talented Country music on-air team. This is your opportunity to wake up Green Country with energy, authenticity, and a genuine connection to the community! The right person will bring contagious enthusiasm to everything they do — from entertaining listeners on-air, to creating standout digital and social content that keeps Tulsa talking. You’ll not only create, but also help coach and inspire teammates to elevate the station’s digital presence across all platforms.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Co-host Tulsa’s #1 Country morning show, delivering live and engaging on-air content every weekday morning.
- Develop and execute show prep that includes topical, local, lifestyle, and entertainment content relevant to a 25–54 audience.
- Create and oversee daily social media content — including video, photo, and text — that extends our brand beyond the airwaves.
- Coach and collaborate with team members to strengthen their digital storytelling and content creation skills.
- Edit and produce audio segments, podcasts, and other multimedia content.
- Collaborate with programming, promotions, and digital teams to grow the show’s reach and engagement.
- Represent the station at community events, concerts, and live broadcasts with professionalism and enthusiasm.
- Collaborate with sales and promotions to develop and execute targeted, compelling, and brand-appropriate campaigns that foster listener and advertiser engagement.
The IDEAL Candidate
- Must have a proven track record as part of a personality-driven morning show, preferably in a Country format.
- Must bring a strong sense of humor, warmth, and relatability that fits the station’s brand.
- Must understand what connects with Country fans and be a skilled creator of authentic moments that resonate both on-air and online.
- The candidate is an expert storyteller and social media content creator, skilled in turning on-air moments into engaging posts, reels, and videos.
- Must be comfortable leading conversations, driving bits, and contributing to a show that feels real, local, and fun.
- Enjoy mentoring others on content creation, helping grow the station’s creative culture.
- Must thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and enjoy being challenged.
- Love Country music, community events, and making genuine connections with listeners every day.
We’re looking for a storyteller — someone who can share real-life experiences that make listeners laugh, think, and feel like they’re part of the family. The ideal candidate will also embrace the evolving digital landscape and bring the same energy to social media, video content, and podcasting as they do to live radio.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of on-air experience, ideally as part of a personality-driven morning show.
- Strong on-air presence and natural chemistry in a co-hosting environment.
- Demonstrated excellence in social media strategy, content creation, and audience engagement.
- Experience training or mentoring others in social or digital best practices is a plus.
- Ability to curate and create relevant, entertaining content for both broadcast and digital platforms.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with broadcast and production tools, including Adobe Audition or similar audio software.
- Demonstrated success in ratings growth and audience engagement.
- Active and professional social media presence.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and community events.
- Knowledge of professional radio equipment, such as WideOrbit Radio Automation, Wheatstone audio systems, Website CMS, top social media platforms, Comrex remote equipment, etc.
